- Data & Diagnosis Next, you'll warm up on our Foresight Falcon simulators. We get a data-driven baseline of your swing - capturing metrics like swing speed, ball speed, launch angle, and spin rate. This isn't a test; it's gathering data.
- Testing & Validation This is the fun part. Based on your data and goals, we'll have you test different club heads and shafts. You’ll feel the difference, and you'll see the results on the monitor. This is where we find the perfect combination for your swing.
- Your Custom Build Sheet At the end, we'll review the data and provide a no-pressure build sheet with our professional recommendations. Whether you're ready to order new clubs or just want the info, the data is yours. If you move forward, your clubs will be custom-built to those exact specs right here in our workshop.

Do I need to be a "good" golfer to get fit?
Absolutely not. In fact, fittings are often more beneficial for new or high-handicap players. We can fit you with equipment that makes the game easier, helping you build confidence and have more fun from the start. We’ll set you on the right track, regardless of your skill level.
What's the difference between a fitting at Illini Golf and at a big box store?
The experience. A big box store is often focused on inventory. We are focused on you. Our “boutique” approach means personal attention from an expert fitter who is also a coach. We use our data to educate you, not just sell to you.
How long does a fitting take?
It varies, but we generally recommend planning on 1 hour for a driver, iron, or wedge fitting. A full-bag fitting (everything from driver to putter) typically takes about 2 hours. A dedicated putter fitting on our PuttView green takes about 30-45 minutes.
How long do repairs take?
We know you can’t be without your clubs for long. We can complete most regrips while you wait or guarantee them within 24 hours. For reshafts, loft/lie adjustments, and other custom work, we’ll give you a clear and accurate timeline when you drop them off.
What brands do you carry for custom orders?
We partner with all of golf’s major equipment manufacturers. Our goal isn’t to push one brand; it’s to find the absolute best-performing club head and shaft for your swing, regardless of the name on it.
Does club fitting cost?
It varies it depends on what you want fitted, once you fill out the form. A team member will reach out to ask you some questions and go over pricing
